A range of health insurance plans

There are lots of different kinds of health insurance plans available, from low-cost schemes offering limited cover to fully-comprehensive plans with multiple benefits.

Most health insurance plans offer cover for in-patient and day-patient care, but not always out-patient. So you will need to consider what sort of cover is best for you – do you want cover for pre-existing conditions, or psychiatric disorders for example?

At Get Private, we go through all of the options with you and find you the most appropriate health insurance plan at the best price.

Here are some of the different kinds of health insurance plans you can choose from:

Comprehensive

This provides full reimbursement for most of your in-patient and out-patient costs including psychiatric and alternative medicines. Payment is usually made directly from the insurance company to the hospital.

Limited Out-Patient

All in-patient costs are covered under this policy but out-patient reimbursement is capped.

Budget

With a budget policy, you will be covered for all in-patient costs, as well as – for a limited period – any out-patient costs that are directly related to the in-patient treatment.

Six-Week Waiting

Should the NHS be unable to offer you the treatment you need within six weeks of a specialist's recommendation, you will be eligible to have the treatment privately under this plan.

Cash Plan

This pays benefits directly to the policy holder, against a wide range of health related expenditure.

Please note

Should you purchase a policy but decide not to go ahead, you will normally have 15 days to change your mind. You will usually receive a full refund of premiums, unless you have made a claim. Once the cooling off period is over, you will not usually be entitled to receive a refund of premiums already paid.
